What Discord does for you, and what it does not

Discord is a community server platform. Members join your server to stay close to your group. When you announce an event there, you reach people who already chose to follow you. The announcement lands in front of your own community, and they hear it first.

That is the job Discord does well. It keeps your community together. What it does not do is reach people outside the server. New faces come from other channels, and Discord leaves that half of the job to you.

What Crewcade reads, and what it never changes

Discord is one of the three channels Crewcade posts to, alongside LINE and Instagram. You connect your server once and choose the channel the posts land in. From then on Crewcade builds the promotion around your event — flyers in every ratio, captions, a posting schedule and a hosted page — and sends the posts to that channel on the dates in the plan.

You see every post before it goes out, and you can change or stop any of them. Nothing goes out under your name without you. Crewcade posts to the channel you picked and touches nothing else: your server settings, your roles, your members and your other channels stay exactly as they are.

The posting plan that fits how Discord's audience behaves

Discord's audience is your own community. They joined because they like what you do, and they check the server for news. The plan starts with a clear announcement in your server and spreads outward from there.

The announcement goes to your server first, about 14 days out. A details post follows a week out, and a reminder the day before. Crewcade sends all three to the channel you connected, so the rhythm holds even on the weeks you are busy. The schedule starts from the event once, and it repeats without you rebuilding it every week.

What happens to your data if you leave either one

The members of your server stay yours on Discord, and Crewcade's own data exports on every plan. Nothing about your community is locked to either tool. If you stop using Crewcade tomorrow, your server is untouched.
